Bringing the Stars Down to Earth: The Solar Eclipse
It’s a cluster this week. It’s also a bit of a traffic jam in the sign of Pisces. Six planets will be sharing this watery sign, and most of them are not happy about it. This same day, March 29/30, is also the beginning of the Vedic New Year and the beginning of the 9-night festival of the Divine Mother. AND on Saturday there is a partial Solar Eclipse!
The Sun, representing our soul, does not like the water and feels very washed out. You may not feel seen or valued. This too shall pass.
The Moon (thoughts and emotions) will be extra sensitive and reactive. This too shall pass!
Mercury in retrograde will be giving us some communication issues. Maybe hold off on signing that contract and make sure to re-read everything for another few weeks.
Venus in retrograde will be messing with relationships – try not to argue with your partner, and make sure not to text your ex!
Saturn in Pisces is not happy about the lack of structure right now, and you could be feeling the weight of karma a little more than usual. This one won’t be passing for awhile – 2.5 years, actually - so buckle up!
Rahu (the North Node of the Moon) is the troublemaker, happy as a clam and causing commotion, ack!
What are we to do?
Go inward. Do your spiritual practices, especially during the eclipse. Head down and keep on truckin’. Of course while we’re all somewhat affected, it really depends on your personal planet placement, which will tell you which area of life you may feel all this crowding. I would love to help you map it out.
Another thing you could do is join our Navaratri practice to infuse yourself with the energy and support of the Goddess. No matter what your faith, her lessons give us invaluable tools to overcome our difficulties.
The next time all this eclipse stuff comes around in the Fall, we’ll be in Portugal for our retreat. What an excellent place to “find the gold within.”
