A Solar Eclipse with Venom

What's going on in your dreams?

This solar eclipse is happening August 12 in the Vedic sign of Cancer, in the constellation Hydra (Ashlesha Nakshatra) which is represented by the snake.

Ah the snake - so much symbology and mythology! We are being called to shed the old and step into a greater version of ourselves, just as the snake shreds its skin and emerges fresh. A transformation of sorts. Not something that is easy. It can feel vulnerable, emotional. It is best to lay low.

What thoughts or beliefs need adjusting? Pay particular attention to your dreams. The circumstances that play out may be the very message needed to help you know where to shift.

Venom can be poison or medicine. It can be sharp hurtful words or actual mishaps. Or, it can be the healing we seek. We may already be feeling the effects.

Keep those emotions in check and don’t take it personally. Make sure to be looking inward for the answers. The 6 days on either side of the eclipse are very powerful. It depends on your chart, what area of life this may show up.

Ideally, we will be meditating during the eclipse. Do some sacred writing. They say the practice done during the eclipse is 10,000 amplified, so do your mantra!

It is a wonderful time to ask Shiva, The Lord of Yoga, to bless you with the means to transform gracefully.

It is also an important day to bow to your ancestors. They paved the way for you to be here. Their karma and your karma are linked. Tapping into that energy can help guide you in even greater ways.
