Anxiety can be pretty intense these days. Whether you are looking at the stars, politics, worldwide unrest, finances, relationships or simply all of the above wrapped up in one! I have to keep a constant eye on the anxiety to keep it at bay.

This week we will start with a lovely sleep aid that can also be used in the morning as a beautiful nourishing elixir. It just depends on the spices you use. If you are one of those people that sleeps through anything – you can still benefit from the nourishment. But if you are like me, you need all the help you can get for an awesome night’s sleep and a strong nourished resolve in the morning.

 

GOLDEN MILK ELIXIR

This recipe is very nourishing and helps build our vital reserves. Both a great sleep aid in the evening and energizer in the morning. Organic, whole milk is best. It is easy on the digestive system when boiled. But you can substitute with oat or almond milk.

For spices, just use a tiny pinch of each.

( I make mine with all the optional ingredients. It is so yum! )

🌞Morning spices: 

🌞Cinnamon

🌞Cardamom

🌞Turmeric

🌞Ghee (optional)

🌞Saffron strand (optional) 

🌞Ground almonds (optional) 

Sweeten to taste - with honey or maple syrup, after cooking, not during

πŸŒ™Cardamom 

πŸŒ™Nutmeg (use a super small amount - it is a strong sedative)

πŸŒ™Turmeric

πŸŒ™Ghee (optional)

πŸŒ™Saffron strand (optional) 

Sweeten to taste - with honey or maple syrup, after cooking, not during

 

In a small saucepan, boil spiced milk on low, watching constantly. 

Do not burn. 

 

Add sweetener in your cup.
