Vasant Panchami
February 2nd is a very auspicious day! It is called Vasant Panchami and is in honor of the Goddess Saraswati - the goddess of knowledge, creativity and the arts. She is a beautiful goddess that plays a Veena (kind of like a small sitar) and rides on a swan.
We invite her into our lives to help us channel creativity to start new projects and get rid of lethargy & sluggishness. We ask her to remove any ignorance and bless us with a clear path ahead. I, for one, am leaning into her for grace - it has been a challenging January for sure! We need all the help we can get.
Saraswati’s day is the 5th waxing lunar day of the month Magha in Vedic Astrology. This year it is very potent because of the Maha Kumbha Mela happening in India, where millions and millions are flocking to the holy waters to take a dip. This particular Maha Kamba Mela aligns with a celestial configuration that happens only once every 144 years!
I would love to help you design a practice to help bring in these wonderful qualities of Saraswati, or look at your astrological chart to see where you may be more successful in your endeavors. There is also a very interesting transit happening with the planet Venus. Want to know about Love? Schedule a Jyotish Vedic Astrology reading here.
